Nag-Kanya

Nag Kanya (Naga Kanya), the snake princess, is a mixed being: half a human, half a snake. She is the rain goddess, the guardian of the waters and earth treasures. Hence, she is considered to be the symbol to life and fertility. The 5-headed cobra forms a protecting bonnet behind her head; the wings give her inconceivable quickness with which she can easily travel from a world in the other - this makes her the symbol for the esoteric wisdom.
